Hi. We are a young married couple (in late twenties) who have recently moved to Ipoh, Malaysia from the UK. Although we are enjoying life in Malaysia, we are struggling to form a social network. Making friends is quite difficult, especially in our line of work. We have been to KL a few times and like it there but have only been to the clubs which aren't ideal for striking up conversation. Has anyone had similar thoughts or does anyone have any ideas on how to meet expats in a similar age group? Thanks!

well, I have alot of expats in late 20's and early 30's... Well, a suggestion, you can hang around ar sri hartamas or mont kiara in KL... Good place to find all sort of people there
I'm having problems meeting people too everytime I go to Kl. My friends and business associates are not as sociable and outgoing like I am. Even my expat friends go to bed early!!! :( I wanted to start a social club in KL and I wonder how would that work out. I have a social club in Singapore, about 10,000 members (singaporeans and expats) and we meet up and do stuff and socialize and I am thinking of a cross cultural thingey, like book 3 coaches of people here, go to KL and party with people in KL. think that will work between Singapore and KL? *grin*
