mild narrowing of c4/5 and c5/6 intervertebral disc spaces with possibility of disc protrusion has to be considered.

You may try to seek an opinion from spine specialist, Dr. Raymond Yip of Spine Care Hong Kong. His clinic is in Central, tel. 2810 7388. He was one of orthopaedic consultant of Prince Of Wales Hospital and just started his private practice.

My husband recently had a back op with Dr Clarence Leung, a very positive experience with a great outcome. Have only heard good things about him.

Dr Clarence Leung is fantastic... after many years of back pain I thought was fromthe result of an accident he sent me for MRI and X-rays (in his premises) and was diagnosed with 3 prolapsed disks.
They have wonderful physotherapy available on the premises and such a professional business.. I would certainly recommend Dr Leung and plan to see him on a regular basis to monitor my back

Spondylosis means a degeneration of the spine. According to your report, it should be just a minor degeneration. Sometimes the Xrays just give you a piece of information. You should get your spine assessed by an orthopedic doctor or a physiotherapist. For most cases, physiotherapy will help and it should be the first line of treatments. Surgery will be the last thing you should consider or when all other conservative treatments have failed.

I would recommend that you start seeing a Chiropractor.

Forget chiropractors in Hong Kong!
The session usually lasts abt 10 minutes, nowhere near long enough to relax muscles.
I had chronic LBP for 5 years and tried everything in Hong Kong from Accupuncture to Zebra hoof!
All without success!
Finally I found a chiropractor in Shenzhen who was able to diagnose and treat me for the princely sum of $200 for the first session and then $900 for a course of 10. (That's $100 a 45 minute session)
So far I've had 13 sessions and for the first time in 5 years I'm pain-free, I don't need painkillers, my discs are back in place and my muscles are on the way to full recovery!
If anyone needs his details, message me.

Update on my treatment: (I really believe in this guy, that's why I want to let you all know that it is possible to cure this awful condition)
Had 15 sessions now and flexibility is improving, of course I need to stretch and strengthen every day but so does everyone who wants to avoid LBP in the future.
He's reduced my sessions per week from 3 to 2 to 1.
The best thing is that I'm not conscious of my back all the time.
Before, every movement I made, I tensed my back muscles in anticipation of pain and he gave me the confidence to stop tensing because that just made it worse and stopped my muscles from recovering.
He told me to accept that during treatment I will experience aches and the occaisional sharp pain, but I wouldn't go into spasm and lock up like I did before.
And you know what? He was right; I made such good progress once I knew this.
And the second best thing is that I now see a reason to keep on living. No joke!

Electrode, I have scoliosis and it is not true that there is no good chiropractor in HK. I go to see Dr. Tam in Sha Tin. He charges a very reasonable fee and the session lasts from 30 minutes to an hour depending on what treatment you need. My hubby had a sports injury several years ago and has been to a lot of physio, no one was able to find out what caused his pains not to mention that they charge a fortune! If you want6 to try Dr. Paul Tam, PM me and I will even come with you if you need me to. Cheers!

I didn't say there were no good chiros in HK. Thanks for your kind offer though.
However, I'm fully committed to my chiro in Shenzhen.
Since he cured me, he's treated my wife's neck and several of her friends who have been getting treatment in HK.
My wife is so enamoured by him that she wants to help him come to HK and work.
It would be more convenient, but then his prices would probably go up.

Just had treatment from Chiropractor Dr. Tyrone To in Central. Had an accident a year ago, spent thousands on different treatments from physio to pilates to stretch classes. He cured me in half an hour. No pain now... Yes... see a chiropractor first.
