ICSI in Shanghai and Hong Kong
Posted by poj (522 days ago)
Regarding Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), has anyone done this procedure in Shanghai and/or Hong Kong? I live in Shanghai, but willing to travel to HKG if necessary. Can you please share your experiences and thoughts on ICSI specialists, doctors, pricing, etc. Thanks.

In HK, ICSI is standard procedure, I believe, for all IVF treatments. Most labs/embyrologists that fertility Drs use, are quite proficient in it. Since it is part of the package- its hard to separate out the cost.

You can do it as a private IVF patient in Queen Mary, or other private hospitals, I am doing my IVF in Union Hospital in Shatin. You can have a look of these website:-

About the hotel/apatment, I think you can easily find some serviced apartment, you can rent it monthly, no long term contract.

Hi I have done this in Shanghai RuiJin Hospital in Pudong. My feedback is globally positive eventhough the results was negative.

Hi Poj,
I believe 788 is correct generally in HK ICIS is done with ivf as a standard treatment. I am about to have my 3rd attempt and it as been part of the treatment at Sanatorium hspital each time. I am not sure of the separate cost but as I'm due their Saturday i will let you know when i get my bill if you haven't been able to find out in the meantime. They seem pretty proficient at it as all my eggs have benn fertilised the only disadvantage that I have read about is that there is no guarantee that the strongest sperm will be used.
