Does anyone know where I can get a belly band here in HK? It's a white stretchy band that goes around your waiste and allows you to wear your pre-pregnancy pants in the early stages of pregnancy by covering up the zipper and buttons that just won't quite close.
I saw them earlier in the year at Bumps to Babes in Pedder Building. Not sure about white but they did have some colours. Would be super easy to make at one of the tailors if you are heading to Shenzhen though
Bumps & Babes sells the Belly Belt, which is a small triangle of cloth to button to unbuttoned pants.
Annerley sells something like the Belly Band (stretchy tube), but theirs is too loose and not effective at keeping pants up. You can try buying a regular tube top from a street stall, and using it as a belly band. It'll cost about $30, and works just as well.
Maybe also think about a stretchy tube top (longer version). I had some of these and provided that they are stretchy enough and long enough, they do the trick as well. I just bought mine from an ordinary clothes store at home (not a maternity shop)
thanks - I went to shenzhen last week and had them make two. Not sure how they will turn out - the tailor was a bit confused as to what I was talking about. I should get them later this week.
I went to Mothercare yesterday in Princes Building to buy one for myself - they don't stock them anymore. They did say they might have them in other stores though.
