made some the other day - very yummy but i think frying bacon would be good idea and maybe half the packet of onion soup - must have used wrong soup - was very salty - but yummy anyway!
I did it too but turns out not good. It was very HARD. I must have made something wrong.
Do i just mix in the onion soup packet? or i need to mix it with water to become soup first? I followed everything except maybe this part. I did not put water, just the packet of onion soup.
After only 10 minutes, the top was already brown so i lowered but have to turned off less than an hour as it turns out cooked already.
Half of the bread was wasted, bottom, sides and top. We just ate the middle but still not chewy as bread. Please help. The taste is good but i don't know what went wrong.
Oh, i also used 2 buttermilk which totals to around 580 ml. The rest of the ingredients i followed well. Thanks.
i did not add water or anything - just mixed in the dry onion soup - mine was not dry - sort of a scone consistency? You owen must have been too hot maybe?
oh! i think any really, you know the dry ones in packets? i bought one from Oliver's only because i work in Prince's bld - but I think normal supermarkets should have those as well - try to put less than whole pack in the recipe - i found it too overpowering!
